How can we create healthy habits?

It is good to adopt better choices that enhance our health and lives but we have to make room for them.

One of my 2023 goals was to make a conscious effort to make healthier food choices. To help myself achieve this I removed the ‘naughty’ treats from the kitchen cupboards (and other places!) so that I did not give in to temptation. I personally find it a lot easier to stay focused and motivated when temptations are not within in arm’s reach. Even whilst shopping in the supermarket I now avoid the snack and cake aisle. My trolley now seems fuller with fresh and colourful items as opposed to processed and dull ones.

I will do my best to continue on my healthier eating path, but equally if I fancy a slight deviation on an odd day here and there, then so be it! Developing healthy habits can vary greatly from one individual to another. Such as getting fitter, de-cluttering your home or promising yourself more ‘you’ time… you have to plan and make it happen. 

Out with the old and in with the new as they say!
