How are you feeling?

We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty The Queen. As a mark of respect, we will be closed tomorrow to give our team time to pay their respects along with the rest of the country. With that in mind, I have decided to send the newsletter today.

If you are feeling upset by the news, you are certainly not alone. The Queen’s death triggered an unexpectedly intense grief response throughout the nation and reminded us of our own personal losses. Most people have unfortunately experienced loss in their lives. Grief can affect us in a variety of ways and for some people they suffer in silence. For me personally I have tended to push my grief aside, but inevitably it can all flood back months or even years later. Many of us may have not processed and dealt with our grief properly which may be why the death of her Majesty The Queen has affected us and ignited painful personal memories. It is natural to feel shocked and saddened by the death of someone who has always been a constant presence in our lives. It’s good to talk and share how you feel with others.
